Welcome to the website of the Public Service Commission of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The Public Service Commission was established in 1950 as an independent statutory advisory body to the Chief Executive on civil service appointments, promotions and discipline. The Commission's remit is stipulated in the Public Service Commission Ordinance and its subsidiary regulations (Chapter 93 of the Laws of Hong Kong). Its mission is to safeguard the impartiality and integrity of the appointment and promotion systems and to ensure that fairness and broad consistency in disciplinary punishment are maintained in the civil service.

This website provides general information of the Commission, including its membership, the organisation of the Commission Secretariat and the Commission's annual reports since 2001.
